As a young girl, people always said "WOW, YOU REALLY HAVE TO BECOME A MODEL", so my parents always took pictures of me . Every holiday, every fun moment, a camera was brought out. I found this very annoying as a little girl. I used to stick my tongue out and look crazy. However, the older I got the more I became fascinated with a camera. How did it work? How do you do it?  What is beautiful? 

When I had to make a choice for an elective at my high school, I knew exactly what I had to choose: photography! I practiced a lot on my mother's camera and listened carefully to the teacher. When I got my my highschool diploma, an advertisement from a school named Media College popped up saying that they had a completely new education: Photographic Design. It felt like it was meant to be. I attended the college information day event and immediately it felt so good. So I sent my application right away. In the end, I was accepted and I am still fully enjoying this training to become a professional photographer. 




My name is Femke Plas, I'm 20 years old and I come from the Netherlands. I'm very motivated to do the right thing. That's why I'm not afraid to ask a lot of questions to get it right. I am very curious and driven excited to try new things. I can also be very critical because I strive for perfection. I would like to surpass and improve myself in the work I do. When I get an assignment, I immediately have an image in my head of what I want to make. That's why I'm really a visual thinker. When people tell me a story about something they have experienced, an image automatically goes through my head in the form of a photo. If something goes wrong, I quickly come up with a solution and look for the right way. Last year I started to learn a lot about turning negativity into POSITIVITY, which made me very solution-oriented. I can be very direct. If something happens that needs to be done differently or others don't come out with a solution, I would come up with a proposal to continue again.
